York Steiner Upper School coming soon!

It’s actually happening!
a new independent Steiner Upper School (14-18 years) will be opening soon.
This new, financially separate, organisation will be an educational, and mutually beneficial partner for York Steiner School.
Infused with Waldorf pedagogy and inspired by other cutting-edge adolescent learning centres it will increase the educational choices for young people in York and the surrounding area.

Upper School Evening with Karen Brice-Geard and Jan Swan

Over the last three years our Upper School Development Group has been running workshops and researched options with a view to starting a Steiner Upper School in September 2018.

After comparing and discussing several different qualifications we are now seriously considering the Steiner School Certificate as the qualification we would like to offer if and when the Upper School goes ahead.

If you have an interest in education for 14-year-olds and above, and are interested in Waldorf accreditation, do come along on Thursday 20th October at 7:30pm.

We are delighted to welcome as speakers Karen Brice-Geard from New Zealand, where the Steiner School Certificate was developed, and Jan Swan, the coordinator of the SSC in the UK.
