Bothmer Movement and Games
2 Introductory Workshops for Adults with Hannah Levey and Richard Green on Saturday 10th June and 8th July 9am – 1pm in the School Gym – Explore Movement as a fluid interplay with space
Following our first introductory Meaningful Movement workshop we we would like to offer 2 more workshops as an introduction to Bothmer Movement and Games. Enjoy a morning of movement and games to explore and experience the spacial-dynamic forces and impulses that compel us to move and adapt. We offer a balance of Bothmer exercises, making movement conscious and getting in touch with our inner child through fun games. Each workshop will be an introduction to Bothmer Movement and will be different enough each time but still can be attended on an individual basis.
We are delighted to announce that in September we will be extending our Early Years provision by adding a 5th Kindergarten.
Over the past year, the number of inquiries and applications have increased. More and more families are choosing Steiner education for their child and a fifth kindergarten will allow us to welcome additional children into the school.
Over the summer several changes will be made to accommodate this expansion. The new kindergarten will be in the Snowdrop Room which is currently a Parent and Toddler room. Meanwhile the existing handwork room and shop will be re-fitted to create two Parent and Toddler rooms. The shop will move into the Rose room next to our entrance making it more accessible to visitors and parents alike while Handwork will relocate upstairs…

Bothmer Movement and Games for Adults
Experience movement as a fluid interplay with space
Saturday, 11th March 9:30 – 13:00
Movement is an expression between space and the body. When we open the space within us we create an ease of movement. Do we move through space or is space moving through us? When we listen to space, we are in harmony; we create an ability to change and we welcome challenges. Enjoy a morning of movement and games to explore and experience the spatial-dynamic forces and impulses that compel us to move and adapt.
Wear warm loose comfortable clothing and indoor shoes/trainers you can feel free to move in.
£15 for a 3 hour workshop with Hannah Levey and Richard Green, light refreshments included.

As the snowdrops are announcing that Spring is on its way we’re thinking ahead to our wonderful Spring Fair in May!
Saturday 13th May 11 – 4pm
Maypole dancing, crafts, plants, activities & delicious food – and Spring!
An opportunity to experience York Steiner School lessons, tour the school and talk to teachers and parents.
Two tours available: 11am and 12 noon.
The tours will take you from kindergarten through to Class 8 and then to the science lab. There will be teachers to talk to and the chance to experience Class 1 circle time, modern foreign language teaching and a science lesson to conclude the tour.
