Parenting Courses

We host several courses designed to benefit and support parents of young children.

Coordinated and run by Dorothy Malen, a very experienced Steiner early years teacher, these courses help parents understand their children and trust their instincts. The courses will also appeal to professional carers wanting to learn more about a Steiner approach to childcare.

Gentle Beginnings

Gentle Beginnings is a new venture born out of a wish to give gentle support and space to new parents and babies. It is supported by York Steiner School and is the ideal introduction to our Early Years department for both parent and child.  Gentle Beginnings is based on up to date baby / infant research and the long experience of loving and care of babies and infants practised at the Pikler Institute in Hungary, RIE in the USA and within the worldwide Steiner/Waldorf movement.
