Cafe & Food

Children and an adult gather around a dining table in a bright pink-walled room with large windows.

A blessing on the meal

And peace be on the earth.

In the Kindergarten, at snack time, the children enjoy shared meals of a range of delicious food they have helped to prepare, such as fruit salad, wholemeal bread, vegetable soup or rice and millet.

These are calm times for the children and we will say thank you for the meal, taking care to hand things to each other and make sure everyone has eaten.

Freshly prepared every day

Our school café provides delicious and nutritious vegetarian lunches, cooked from scratch on site, using local, seasonal produce wherever possible.

Vegan and gluten free options available. These meals are delivered to the classroom, where children are encouraged to sit together in a circle and share mealtime together.

Menus vary with the seasons and meals are ordered half termly in advance.

Vegetarian options are always available, and we cater for allergies, intolerances and dietary requirements.

Growing the food we eat

Growing our connection to the natural world through an understanding of food provenance is an important part of our gardening lessons in school.

Each class has a plot at our school allotment and they often grow their own produce.

Our outdoor classroom provides the perfect setting to prepare and share these home grown foods..
