Gentle Beginnings
A gentle beginning, together
The first 18 months or so with a new baby are full of change, discovery and learning for both parent and child. Gentle Beginnings groups offer a calm, supportive space to nourish your relationship with your new child, under the gentle guidance of holistic Early Years specialist, Dorothy Marlen.
Find the confidence to take an unhurried and natural approach to parenting which respects the individuality of each child and form new friendships at the same time.
There are only 7 families maximum in each group which brings a special safe mood.
We welcome mums/dads with babies from 6 weeks old and usually the families stay until the child is confidently walking. It is a lovely regular weekly time to watch your baby come confidently to standing and walking, receive gentle guidance on various aspects of early parenting and make good friends.
“We are so grateful for all the wisdom you have shared with us.”
A safe space to explore and develop
Babies are free to explore and move through all the motor development stages at their own pace, with lots of interesting things to discover in a beautiful room expertly equipped with carefully chosen natural toys and sensory equipment.
“What a wonderful time we have had!”
For babies and for you
Make connections with other families with babies of the same age. Enjoy a calm and supported time in your week, under the guidance of an experienced and holistic specialist in Early Years parenting and education. Hot and cold drinks and a special home-made snack is available at the beginning of each session.
Each session ends with songs, rhymes and lullabies to take home with you.
“Thank you ever so much for such a nourishing and profound experience which we shall never forget.”
