There was love in the room this Valentine's Day as families from the school community gathered to work together to give one of most treasured spaces in school some much needed TLC.
Everyone who has spent time in our school knows our Eurythmy room well. For assemblies, class plays, open days, lunch at a Spring or Advent fair, or even a Eurythmy lesson, this bright room is a space for gathering.Today, after so many weeks of cold and rain, the sun came out as we gathered give the room a good clean and fresh lick of paint. A band of willing workers, parents, friends and children worked hard together all day. We sang while we worked and enjoyed a wonderful meal and cakes, contributed by community members. Many hands certainly made for light work together. Thank you so much to everyone who came and joined us, baked cakes and made food.At York Steiner School we foster social responsibility by coming together in community to look after our spaces. Today as the children worked alongside adults and each other, they took pride in their work and in their school environment. If you'd like to find out more about our school, get in touch to come along to our Enquirers morning on 3rd March, or for older children, our Upper School Open evening on 4th March.[Best_Wordpress_Gallery id="8" gal_title="Eurythmy Room clean"]
